Welcome to Blue Martini , the latest addition to the extensive catalogue of originals by songwriter and performer, J.P. Riemens.

Riemens is perhaps best known as the co-owner and engineer of the world renowned Grant Avenue Studio, having worked with such luminaries as Gordon Lightfoot, Daniel Lanois, Keith Glass and Willie P. Bennett.

Blue Martini shows off the creative side of Riemens, with a 12 song sampling of Riemens' latest - and to date, greatest work. Each of the selections here has it's own distinct colourings, drawn from the broad musical palette of their creator. The recording features such heavyweight talents as Jessie O'Brien, Sean O'Grady, Bob Doidge and Dan Walsh with J.P. on guitar throughout.

As a performer, Riemens has opened for such acts as Ashley MacIsaac, Fred Eaglesmith, and Melanie Doane. His previous independent releases established his credibility in Southern Ontario, Blue Martini aims to do the same for the rest of the world.
